What if the book I need is not on the shelf? Books that cannot be found on the shelves may be on the shelving cart at the circulation desk. If it is a new book, it may be located in the new books stack located directly across from the first floor computer lab.
Where are the photocopiers? There are photocopiers located in the room behind the reference desk, in the stacks on the first floor, and on the second floor in the periodicals area.
Where can I get change? The staff at the circulation desk can provide change.
Where is there a quiet place to study? There are several study areas located on the first and second floor. On the first floor, the quietest areas are in the stacks and in the room behind the reference desk. On the second floor, the quietest areas are in the periodicals area.
Where are the group study rooms? The group study rooms are located on the second floor of the library in the area behind the elevator.
What card do I need to check out library materials? Currently enrolled students must have a student ID. UIW alumni must have an alumni card. Visitors must have a valid TexShare card. Proxy checkout is not allowed.

How much are library fines? Library fine policy
Do these computers have Microsoft Office? No. The computers provide access to library research resources (online catalog, databases, and periodicals) and the Internet. The Media Center, located in the basement of the library, provides computers with Microsoft Office, SPSS, and other programs. The entrance to the Media Center is located on the south side of the library, facing the AT&T Science Hall.
Can I print from these computers? Yes. There are several printers available: the default printer is the 9000, a high-speed black and white printer; the 4600, a color printer; and the 4050, a backup black and white printer.
How much are printouts? Black and white printouts are $.05 a page, color printouts are $.50 a page.
Do you have a copier that takes coins? There are copiers that accept coins located in the Reserve Reading room, in the Periodicals copy room on the first floor, and in the Bound Periodicals room on the second floor.
How do I pay for printouts? The GoPrint system is card-operated. Students may add money to their student IDs at the value-adding machine located at the circulation desk. Visitors must purchase a copy card from the value-adding machine and add money to the card. A minimum of $1 must be added to student ID and copy cards.
